House 43 at Długi Targ Square is a Gothic structure with elaborate doorways and window designs from the 15th century. The building displays typical features of a prosperous merchant residence from that era.
The building was constructed around 1500 during the height of Hanseatic influence when Gdansk served as a major trading center. Later modifications have partially altered its original Gothic character.
The house was part of the trading hub where merchants conducted business and the square functioned as a living marketplace. The architecture still shows traces of this commercial past in its details.
The location sits centrally in the Old Town and is easily reached on foot between other landmarks and attractions. The building stands along the Long Market and is within walking distance of the waterfront.
