Description
The House of the Book is a three-level structure connected by a central staircase, with raw larch slats on the exterior and exposed concrete interior finishes. The middle floor includes a garage and living spaces, while the ground level houses the main living areas and kitchen.
History
Construction began between 1910 and 1911 as an exhibition space for musical instruments during a major national event. The building later evolved into a cultural venue with different purposes.
Culture
The name refers to its early role as a school hygiene department. Today it functions as a community gathering space with dining and exhibition areas.

The building sits on an elongated narrow plot that defines its distinctive shape. Access is straightforward through the Lazarus district, which is easily walkable.
