Ławeczka Józefa Kostrzewskiego w Poznaniu, Bronze bench monument at University Campus Morasko, Poznań, Poland
The bronze sculpture features Professor Józef Kostrzewski sitting on a solid bench, facing towards the Collegium Maius building at Adam Mickiewicz University.
The bench monument, unveiled in October 2012 by University Rector Bronisław Marciniak, was relocated to Campus Morasko near Collegium Historicum in 2016.
This memorial represents one of four similar bench monuments dedicated to the founders of Poznań's first higher education institution, the Piast University.
Located at coordinates 52°24'32"N, 16°55'7"E, the monument provides a resting spot while exploring the university grounds of Adam Mickiewicz University.
The sculpture, created by artist Grzegorz Godawa and cast by Brązart Workshop in Pleszew, commemorates the archaeological achievements of Professor Kostrzewski.
