Collegium Maius, University venue in Fredry Street, Poznań, Poland

Collegium Maius is a university building on Fredry Street in Poznań featuring a semicircular entrance and a prominent dome. The structure spans five three-story wings arranged around two internal courtyards that stretch between Fredry and Kościuszki streets.

The building was constructed in 1908 originally for the Royal Settlement Commission. After Poland regained independence in 1918, it became part of Adam Mickiewicz University.

The Faculty of Polish Philology works within these historical walls on research and teaching. Students spend their daily academic life between the old architecture and modern facilities.

The building is centrally located and easily reached on foot through the city center. Modern library facilities and study spaces are accessible to visitors, particularly during academic hours.

The sandstone window pediments on the second floor display coats of arms from counties involved in historical colonization programs. These details tell the story of the building's connection to regional development during its era.
