Teatr Animacji is a puppet theater in Poznań that specializes in narrative and visual performances. The venue sits on Św Marcin Street and offers shows for children and adults in a modern space.

Founded in 1945 as Poznański Teatr Marionetek, the company first performed in the Apollo passage. It was renamed Państwowy Teatr Młodego Widza in 1949, Teatr Aktora i Lalki in 1954, and Teatr Lalki i Aktora Marcinek in 1958. Under Leokadia Serafinowicz (director 1960–1976) it introduced live actors alongside puppets and staged Norwid and Witkacy. It moved to Centrum Kultury Zamek in 1978/79 and took its current name under Janusz Ryl-Krystianowski in 1989.

The name Marcinek, used from 1958, referred to the theatre's puppet figure; the current name Teatr Animacji was given by artistic director Janusz Ryl-Krystianowski after 1989. Since 2003 the theatre has organised KON-TEKSTY, an international contemporary art festival for children and young people, held every two years.
