Dom Studencki Jowita w Poznaniu, University dormitory near Kaponiera roundabout, Poznań, Poland.

Dom Studencki Jowita is a student dormitory in Poznań distinguished by modern architecture featuring a striking white building. The thirteen-story structure is complemented by a two-story wing with communal functions and includes two underground levels.

The dormitory was designed in 1964 by architects Witold Milewski and Zygmunt Skupniewicz as part of Adam Mickiewicz University's expansion during 1959-1965. It emerged as an important construction project in the postwar period and has shaped the local area since then.

The building serves as a focal point for student life in the city and brings together young people during the academic year. Students use it not only as a residence but also for shared activities and socializing in the common areas.

The dormitory offers rooms for students during the academic term and serves visitors attending trade fairs during summer breaks. Visitors should be aware that the building sits within an active student area and respectful access is necessary.

The building's exterior walls incorporate recycled production materials, including broken ceramics, which required special technical certification in the 1960s. This innovative use of waste materials was an uncommon approach in construction at the time and demonstrates early environmental thinking.
