Palace in Jugów

The Palace in Jugów is a two-storey brick building with plastered facades arranged in an L-shape and topped with a mansard roof. The estate currently serves administrative functions and is surrounded by landscaped grounds.

The estate came under the ownership of the von Stillfried family beginning in 1472 and transferred to Friedrich Ludwig Karl Fabian von Pfeil in 1808. The von Pfeil family maintained control until 1945, when the property's use changed significantly.

The interior features decorative stained glass and ornamental details that reflect the artistic tastes of its former owners. These handcrafted elements show the care taken to make the residence a showcase of refinement.

The building is occupied by forestry offices, so viewing is possible from the exterior while walking through the surrounding park grounds. The best time to visit is during daylight hours when the brick construction and roof details are most visible.

An ornamental fireplace mantel on the upper floor features carved biblical figures that most visitors overlook. This crafted detail demonstrates the skilled work that went into furnishing the residence.
