Alice Habsburg, who lived in Żywiec from 1920 to 1945, served in the Polish Home Army during World War II before emigrating to Sweden.
The bench sculpture, created by artist Bronislaw Krzysztof, stands in the Castle Park near the Habsburg Palace and the Miniature Park.
Located at the intersection of city center paths, the bench monument remains accessible to visitors throughout the year without entrance fees.
The statue commemorates Alice Ankarcrona Habsburg, who married Archduke Karl Albrecht Habsburg and gave birth to Princess Maria Christina Habsburg.
