Monsaraz, Medieval hilltop settlement in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Portugal
The stone-built village stands on an elevated position at 38.4 degrees latitude north and 7.3 degrees longitude west in Evora District.
Archaeological evidence reveals continuous habitation from Neolithic times through Moorish occupation until Portuguese forces secured the settlement in the Reconquista period.
Local artisans maintain traditional pottery workshops in the neighboring São Pedro do Corval area, producing regional ceramic pieces throughout the year.
