Praia da Senhora da Rocha

Praia da Senhora da Rocha extends 100 meters in length and 40 meters in width, featuring soft yellow sand between protective limestone cliffs.

The beach site includes a fortress from the 16th century that protected the coast from pirates, with its chapel containing Visigothic columns from the 3rd century.

Each first Sunday of August, local residents participate in a traditional procession carrying the Virgin Mary image from the chapel to the beach.

The beach provides numerous facilities including sunbeds, showers, restaurants, lifeguard services, and water sports equipment rentals during summer months.

A natural tunnel carved through the promontory connects Praia da Senhora da Rocha to Praia Nova, offering access to two distinct beach environments.
