Praia dos Beijinhos

Praia dos Beijinhos is a coastal beach in the Algarve region characterized by a wide expanse of coarse sand backed by towering rock formations in the Atlantic. The rocky outcrops create natural walls that define the shoreline's distinctive shape.

The name comes from small shells that local people traditionally called little kisses, scattered historically across the sand and rocks. This folk naming practice gave the beach its lasting identity.

Local families favor this spot for evening visits, settling on benches along the access path to watch the sun descend over the ocean and share the natural light show.

A central stairway provides access down to the sand, so wear sturdy footwear for the descent. There are no lifeguards on duty, so swimmers should use caution and respect the ocean conditions.

A large rock formation at the center is naturally split into two distinct parts, making it a visible marker from different positions along the shoreline. This geological feature becomes the defining landmark of the place.
