Casa Rolão

Casa Rolão is a residence from the 18th century in central Braga with a straightforward design and four doors at ground level facing the street. The upper floor has regularly spaced windows and ornamental moldings throughout, creating a balanced appearance along the facade.

The Rolão family commissioned this house in the late 1750s, with architect André Soares designing the structure and the family funding it through their silk trade business. The building represents the architectural changes taking place in Braga during this transition period.
