The Congregados Church, Convent, and College form an architectural ensemble with baroque features, displaying ornate decorative elements and symmetrical facade design.
The complex construction started in the late 17th century by the Oratory Congregation, following an invitation from Canon João de Meira Carrilho to settle in Braga.
The statues of Saint Philip Neri and Saint Martin of Dume, created by sculptor Manuel da Silva Nogueira, were installed on the facade in 1964.
Located at 98 Central Avenue in Braga, this religious complex serves as both a place of worship and an educational institution through different periods.
After the extinction of male religious orders in 1834, the building housed the Public Library of Braga, which collected books from 19 nearby convents.
