Vistea Mare

Vistea Mare is a peak in the Fagoras Mountains with an elevation of approximately 2500 meters, ranking among Romania's highest summits. The mountain stands on a ridge with steep slopes on multiple sides and connects to adjacent high peaks through alpine terrain that hikers traverse on established routes.

Climbers first explored this peak in the late 1800s, establishing it as a valued destination for Romanian mountaineering. The ascent became a standard route for experienced hikers and contributed to the region's reputation as a serious alpine testing ground.
