Brașov County Museum of History

The Brașov County Museum of History occupies a former Council House at Piața Sfatului and displays more than 159,000 historical objects. The collection spans from prehistoric times to the present day, documenting the region's development across thousands of years.

The institution was formed in 1949 by merging collections from earlier local museums. This created the foundation for what is now an expanding archive that has continued to acquire new discoveries and objects.

The exhibits display objects from different periods that show how people lived and worked in the region. You can see medieval ceramics, guild products, and vintage furnishings that reflect the area's craft traditions.
