Reduta Cultural Center, Cultural center and concert hall in Historic Center, Brasov, Romania
The Reduta Cultural Center features Italian Renaissance architectural elements with busts of Wagner, Mozart, Beethoven, and other composers adorning its facade.
Established in 1794 as the first performance hall in Brasov, the building was demolished in 1892 and reconstructed between 1893-1894 following Christian Kertsch plans.
The main auditorium seats 370 people, while additional spaces include the I.C. Vasiliu ballet room and Franz Liszt music room for 70 attendees.
The ticket office operates Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00, with ballet and acting courses available throughout the year.
Johann Strauss performed at this venue in 1848, followed by violinist Johann Joachim and pianist Johannes Brahms joint performance in September 1879.
