Neolog Jewish temple in Brașov, Gothic Revival synagogue in central Brașov, Romania.
Located at 29 Poarta Șchei Street, the Neolog Jewish temple features three naves, decorative stained-glass windows, and columns supporting separate areas for men and women.
The temple, designed by architect Lipót Baumhorn, opened on August 20, 1901, after construction that cost 1.2 million Austro-Hungarian crowns at the time.
The synagogue reflects the evolution of Jewish worship in Brașov, where the community shifted from Orthodox to Neolog practices following the split of 1877.
The temple complex includes a kosher restaurant, medical office, and aid organization, with visiting hours from Monday through Friday requiring an entrance fee.
The interior displays memorial plaques honoring community presidents and features stained glass windows depicting coat of arms of Israeli settlements.
