Castra Jidava, Roman castrum in Câmpulung, Romania.
The stone fortress measures 100 meters by 132 meters, covering 1.3 hectares of land near the Rucăr-Bran mountain pass.
Constructed between 190 and 211 AD during the reigns of Commodus and Septimius Severus, the fort served as part of the Limes Transalutanus defense system.
The First Cohort Flavia Comagenorum maintained this military installation, which controlled access through the strategic Bran Pass during periods of conflict.
The archaeological site, managed by the Argeș County Museum, contains preserved walls, internal structures, and a partially reconstructed heating system under glass protection.
Archaeological excavations revealed Latin inscriptions, arrows, clay vessels, and coins from Emperor Gordian III's period within the fortress walls.
