The Timișoara Military Museum contains more than 2000 artifacts, including maps, documents, photographs, and military equipment spanning multiple centuries of Romanian history.
The museum building, constructed in 1744 and completed in 1775, served as a military casino before becoming a museum that now preserves Romania's military heritage.
Six distinct sections within the museum showcase different periods of Romanian military history, from ancient Dacian times through the World Wars and modern era.
Located in Liberty Square on the western side of Timișoara, the museum offers visitors access to extensive collections of weapons, uniforms, and military documentation.
The museum resides in a Late Baroque structure featuring Corinthian pilasters and Rococo elements, including a distinctive rounded northeast corner design.
