The reserve contains five hectares of wet meadows at 900 meters elevation, featuring daffodils growing at 200 stems per square meter.

The natural area gained protection status to maintain its dense daffodil population, which has expanded across eleven distinct fields over the past two decades.

The Szentegyházi Nárciszfesztivál brings together residents near the daffodil fields each spring to celebrate local traditions and natural heritage.

Located along route DN13a from Balavásár to Csíkszereda, the reserve welcomes visitors between late April and early June during the flowering period.

Environmental specialists conduct research in the area, documenting the expanding wildflower meadows that stretch from Kalonda-tető toward the Szencsed region.
