The Radu Stanca National Theatre maintains a permanent ensemble of actors who present approximately 120 performances each season in Romanian and German languages.
The theatre's origins date to 1788, when it began as a German-language venue in Hermannstadt, now known as Sibiu, surviving two major fires in 1826 and 1949.
In collaboration with educational institutions, the theatre serves as a platform for aspiring artists and cultural managers through specialized programs at Lucian Blaga University.
The theatre operates from its location at Corneliu Coposu Boulevard 2 in Sibiu, offering regular performances in the main hall and maintaining a digital platform for online shows.
Since 2001, the theatre company has performed in over 520 international locations, including Edinburgh, Avignon, New York, and Tokyo, presenting diverse theatrical productions.
