Mühle House, Historic villa in Elisabetin district, Timișoara, Romania.
The Mühle House is a historic villa with eclectic design and neo-baroque elements located on Victor Babeș Boulevard in Timișoara. The structure features a mezzanine level and an ornately decorated ground floor with distinctive architectural details.
Wilhelm Mühle purchased the property in 1878, and his son Árpád rebuilt the current structure in 1909 based on architect Oskar Reinhart's designs. The house later became a witness to the area's urban development.
The Mühle family operated a major horticultural business supplying flowers to royal courts across Southeast Europe during the 1800s. This trade activity shaped the family's standing in the region.
The building underwent extensive restoration from February 2020 to July 2023, with its architectural elements carefully preserved. Visitors can see a well-maintained structure that reflects the original design.
The property surrounding the villa later became the grounds for two of the city's major universities. Today the house sits within a campus area with active academic life.
