Miroč

Miroč is a mountain ridge running through eastern Serbia between Donji Milanovac and Tekija. The range features forested slopes and natural springs that feed local water systems throughout the terrain.

The mountain served as a crucial transport corridor during Roman times when major trade routes crossed through the region. These ancient pathways influenced local settlement patterns for centuries afterward.

The mountain features traditional honey production areas and protected hunting grounds where deer and wild boar populations maintain ecological balance.

The paths through this mountain area can be steep and require sturdy footwear for safe hiking. Spring and fall are ideal seasons for exploration when trails are dry and temperatures are comfortable.

Local folklore connects the mountain to the legend of Marko Kraljević, whose horse allegedly left permanent hoof marks in stones that remain visible today.
