Krčedinska Ada stretches across 9 square kilometers along the Danube River, featuring extensive grasslands and willow forests dating from the 1810s.
The island became a grazing ground in the 19th century when villagers from Krčedin started bringing their livestock across the Danube River.
The island maintains traditional livestock practices with herds of horses, Podolia cattle, donkeys, and Mangalica pigs roaming freely through natural pastures.
Access to the island requires coordination with local authorities, with guided tours operating between May and September during periods of low water levels.
The Gardinovac backwater creates a network of ponds on the northern side, establishing conditions for fish spawning and natural habitats.
