Kovilj Monastery, Orthodox monastery in Kovilj, Serbia

The monastery complex includes a church built with grey limestone blocks, surrounded by gardens and agricultural fields near Novi Sad.

The earliest written record of Kovilj Monastery appears in the Munich Psalter from the 14th century, with reconstruction occurring between 1741 and 1749.

The monastery houses numerous artworks by Uros Predic, valuable icons, and maintains a choir performing traditional Byzantine chants.

Religious services start at 4 AM on weekdays and 5 AM on Sundays, with evening prayers conducted at 5 PM.

The monastery produces honey from white basil, fruit brandy, cognac, and walnut liqueur through traditional production methods.
