Stražilovo

Stražilovo is a mountain summit in Fruška Gora that rises 321 meters above sea level and offers wide views across the region. A paved road reaches the top, where visitors find spaces for resting and looking out over the northeastern slopes.

The summit became known in the 19th century when Serbian poet Branko Radičević was buried there and a memorial was placed at the site. This event connected the mountain to Serbian literary history and made it a place of remembrance.

Brankov čardak, a restaurant at the summit, serves as a gathering place for artists and local residents. The location has become a natural spot where people meet to share meals and conversation while overlooking the landscape.

Access is straightforward since an asphalt road goes directly to the summit, making it easy to reach by car. Visitors planning to explore beyond the immediate area should bring proper footwear, as walking paths can be uneven.

This location marks the beginning of the Fruška Gora transversale, a hiking route of roughly 160 kilometers that circles the entire mountain range. The trail attracts serious hikers looking for a long-distance challenge through varied forest and ridge terrain.
