Château Šlos

Château Šlos is a military castle in Golubinci in Stara Pazova Municipality. The structure displays characteristic military architectural elements with distinctive facade treatments and room arrangements from the military border period.

The castle was built in 1767 by architect Florijan Madocsnui under Austro-Hungarian rule and served as housing for military officer families. It was created as part of the Habsburg fortification strategy in this border region.

The castle was a residence for military officer families and shows features of the Vojna Krajina, a military border region of the Habsburg Empire. Visitors can still see rooms that reflect the daily life of that era.

Composer Ludwig van Beethoven had correspondence with a woman who later lived in this castle after marrying another man. This literary connection links the building to a distant cultural history.
