Jelova gora

Jelova gora is a forested mountain in western Serbia that rises above thick woodland and offers several marked hiking routes. The terrain alternates between steeper sections and flatter areas, creating different levels of difficulty for walkers.

The mountain connects to the Kadinjaca memorial site, which remembers conflicts from the 20th century. These historical links are part of how the region preserves memory and shape how people experience the landscape today.

The name comes from the fir tree species that covers much of the mountain and defines its character. Visitors encounter small mountain villages where you can see how locals live close to the forest and maintain age-old ties to this landscape.
