Novocherkassk Cathedral, Orthodox cathedral in Novocherkassk, Russia
The Novocherkassk Cathedral features Neo-Byzantine architecture with nine bells weighing 33 tons and reaches a height of 74.7 meters.
After two failed construction attempts in 1846 and 1863, architect Alexander Yashchenko designed the third version, completed between 1891 and 1904.
The cathedral serves as the main religious center for Don Cossacks and contains marble floors imported from Italy and France.
The interior space accommodates 5000 worshippers within its 72.5-meter length and 57.6-meter width dimensions.
The main cross of the cathedral incorporates rock crystal inlays, while its interior displays golden, burgundy, blue, and green decorative patterns.
