Museum of Don Cossacks, Cossack heritage museum in Novocherkassk, Russia.
The Museum of Don Cossacks spans four buildings, containing more than 200,000 artifacts including weapons, military regalia, and traditional items from the region.
Founded in 1886 by the Society for Don Antiquity, the museum survived through civil conflicts and experienced collection displacement during the 1920s to Prague.
The exhibition halls display traditional Cossack clothing, military banners from the 18th century, and an art gallery featuring works by regional painters.
The museum welcomes 175,000 visitors annually and provides guided tours through its multiple buildings, including the Ataman Palace and Memorial Houses.
The institution holds the title of oldest museum in Southern Russia and preserves the Hetman regalia, representing Cossack leadership authority.
