Kochubeyevsky District

Kochubeyevsky District is a municipal district located in southwestern Stavropol Krai that spans a large rural area with numerous settlements scattered across the landscape. The main hub, Kochubeyevskoye, serves as the administrative seat where most residents and offices are concentrated.

The district was established in 1924 as part of the North Caucasus administrative region before being integrated into Stavropol Krai in 1937. This organizational shift redrew the administrative boundaries of the broader region.

Each of the fifteen rural settlements maintains its own administrative council, contributing to the preservation of local governance traditions in the North Caucasus.
