Frolikha Adventure Coastline Track, Hiking trail near Lake Baikal, Russia
The Frolikha Adventure Coastline Track extends over 100 kilometers along the northeastern shore of Lake Baikal through dense forests and mountainous terrain.
Russian and German teams collaborated in 2009 to establish this trail system, following traditional paths used by local hunters throughout previous generations.
The trail connects visitors to remote Siberian landscapes where no towns or modern infrastructure exist, preserving the natural state of the environment.
Navigation requires specialized Siberian maps and experienced guides due to the absence of marked paths and the presence of natural obstacles throughout the route.
The path leads to isolated hot springs, sandy beaches, and observation points where hikers might spot Baikal seals in their natural habitat.
