Коньково-Троицкое

Konkovo-Troitskoye is an estate near the Kaluga road featuring architectural elements from the Naryshkin Baroque period with white stone decorations. The grounds were designed with elaborate architectural details characteristic of this building style.

The property came to Count Mikhail Vorontsov after he acquired it from G.I. Golovkin. Empress Elizabeth Petrovna visited the estate in 1753 during her travels through the region.

The Trinity Church on the grounds displays late 17th-century design with distinctive Naryshkin Baroque features. Visitors can observe these architectural details that reflect the aesthetic preferences of that era.

The estate grounds now contain residential buildings, while the original 18th-century obelisk is housed in the Donskoy Monastery museum. Visitors should explore the area in good weather since the grounds are largely open to the elements.

Architect Vasily Bazhenov designed plans for a palace on the estate, but construction was never completed. The unrealized project reveals the ambitious vision the owners once had for the property.
