Petrogradskaya Embankment

Petrogradskaya Embankment is a waterfront promenade along the Bolshaya Nevka River in northern Saint Petersburg. The approximately 1.5 kilometer stretch connects different sections of the Petrogradsky District and is lined with classical buildings and modern structures.

The embankment was built between 1901 and 1903 as a transportation route under the direction of engineers and an architect. A major renovation in 1966 modernized the space and solidified its role as an important connection within the district.
