Petrogradskaya Embankment, Riverside street in Saint Petersburg, Russia
The Petrogradskaya Embankment extends for 1.5 kilometers along the Bolshaya Nevka River, connecting Petrovskaya Embankment to Karpovka River Embankment in Saint Petersburg.
Engineers V.A. Bers and F.G. Zbrozhek, along with architect L.I. Novikov, constructed the embankment between 1901 and 1903, with additional renovations in 1966.
The embankment received federal cultural heritage status under Russian governmental decree Number 527 in July 2001, recognizing its architectural and historical value.
The street functions as a central transportation route in the Petrogradsky District, providing access to numerous landmarks and connecting different sections of Saint Petersburg.
The location offers direct views of the Aurora warship, a protected cruiser from 1900 that now serves as a museum ship on permanent display.
