The sanatorium operates year-round with 500 beds, specializing in respiratory conditions through the combined effects of mountain, steppe, forest, and sea air.
During World War II, the first chief physician Ivan Ivanovich Davydov supplied local resistance fighters with medical supplies from the facility.
