House-Museum of Maximilian Voloshin

The House-Museum of Maximilian Voloshin is an early 1900s residence in Koktebel built according to the poet and artist's own designs. Inside are original manuscripts, paintings, and personal objects that document his creative interests and daily life.

Built between 1903 and 1913, the house became a meeting place for Russian writers and artists during the Silver Age of culture. It represents a key location in early 20th-century Russian intellectual life.

The house shows how Voloshin brought together poets, painters, and thinkers from across the Russian world. Visitors can see his personal library and art collection, which reveal how he lived between writing and visual creation.

The museum sits by the shoreline of Koktebel and is walkable from the town center. Visitors should know that interior spaces are small, so crowds can mean waiting times during peak visiting hours.

This is the last surviving building from Koktebel's original pre-revolutionary holiday village. Its architecture preserves early 1900s details that are rarely seen elsewhere in the region today.
