Dolphinarium in Koktebel, Dolphinarium in Koktebel, Crimea
The Dolphinarium in Koktebel is a seaside attraction where trained dolphins and seals perform for audiences. The site includes pools for the animals, covered seating areas with views of the performance stage, and a small zoo corner where visitors can see other marine creatures at no extra cost.
The facility opened in the summer of 2008 and has since become a popular destination for tourists in the region. It was built following international animal care standards and has devoted itself to rescuing and caring for injured marine mammals.
The name points directly to the marine animals that perform here for audiences. The way visitors use the space reveals it as a gathering place where families and friends come together to spend time and connect with sea life.
The site is easily reached by car or shared taxi from nearby towns like Feodosiya and sits just 40 meters from the sea. Performances run daily from May to October, and during winter months the performance area is covered with a dome to shelter the animals.
Among the dolphins, Danja, Zoya, and Marishka are the main performers, with Danja being over 30 years old and earning great respect from his trainers. The seals Petya, Zhorik, and Vasya each have distinct personalities, and visitors can take photos with the animals or even swim with a dolphin.
