Yakhromskaya, Metro station in Dmitrovsky District, Russia.
Yakhromskaya is a metro station in the northern part of Moscow, built with an island platform layout that places passengers between the two tracks. The walls are lined with metal panels and the floor is covered in gray granite, giving the space a clean and bright look.
The station opened on September 7, 2023, as part of a northward extension of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. This new section connected the area between Lianozovo and Seligerskaya stations on Line 10.
The station takes its name from the Yakhroma River, which flows north of Moscow and gives its name to the nearby town. Travelers passing through often notice this connection, as the area gradually shifts from dense city blocks to more open surroundings.
The entrance is located beneath Dmitrovskoye Highway at the junction with 800th Anniversary Street, making it easy to reach on foot from the surrounding roads. Since this is one of the northernmost stops on the line, trips toward the city center tend to take longer than at stations closer to the core.
The station was originally planned for a position slightly to the south before being moved to its current location. This change allowed it to connect more naturally with the street grid and the infrastructure already in place in the area.
