St. Karapet's Church, Rostov-on-Don

The stone structure of St. Karapet's Church combines basilica and cross-in-square forms, featuring traditional Armenian architectural elements throughout its design.

Constructed in 1875 through the bequest of noblewoman Akulina Pogosovna Aladjalova, the church was consecrated in 1881 under architect Vasiliy Sazonov's direction.

The church functions as an Armenian Apostolic religious center, representing the Armenian community's spiritual presence in Rostov-on-Don since the 19th century.

Located near the eastern fence of the Armenian Cemetery, the church maintains regular services and welcomes visitors through accessible public transportation routes.

St. Karapet's Church stands as the sole surviving Armenian church from the original Nakhichevan-on-Don settlement, excluding the Holy Cross Church beyond city limits.
