The Soldier Synagogue stands at 66-68 Turgenevskaia Street, featuring decorative elements with stylized gothic arches and stucco rosettes on its facade.
Established in 1872 by retired Jewish soldiers, the synagogue endured damage during the 1905 pogrom and underwent reconstruction between 1913 and 1914.
The structure served as the central gathering place for the Ashkenazi Jewish community until 1935, when it was temporarily converted into a chemical factory.
Located at coordinates 47.217542 latitude and 39.717953 longitude, the synagogue remains the only active Jewish place of worship in Rostov-on-Don.
The building includes a three-story structure added in 1881 and housed a school for children of poor soldiers, established through merchant funding.
