Ryndzyun hydropathic

The Ryndzyun hydropathic is a large masonry building on Sotsialisticheskaya Street displaying Southern Russian eclectic architecture with decorative stucco moldings. The structure was specifically designed for medical treatments and retains its distinctive appearance to this day.

Doctor Ilya Ryndzyun founded this water therapy center in 1885 after relocating from Saint Petersburg, where he had trained at the Imperial Military Medical Academy. The building operated as a treatment facility until 1917, when it was sold and subsequently converted.

The facade displays ornamental stucco details reflecting Southern Russian eclectic style that reinforced its medical purpose. Rooms were designed to support water and light therapy treatments, visible today in the generous interior proportions.

The building is located on Sotsialisticheskaya Street and can be viewed from outside, with architectural features clearly visible. Since it now serves residential purposes, visitors should respect the public space and avoid entering the building.

Doctor Ryndzyun published his innovative treatment methods in 1901 in a work that sold out immediately and influenced regional medical practices. This publication made his center a recognized destination for modern therapeutic techniques of the era.
