Quba Mosque

The Quba Mosque features traditional Islamic architectural elements with white and beige stone walls, large prayer halls, multiple domes, and tall minarets.

In 622 CE, Prophet Muhammad established this mosque during his migration from Mecca to Medina, marking it as the first mosque built in Islamic history.

Muslims from across the world visit the mosque as performing two units of prayer here holds the spiritual reward equivalent to completing an Umrah pilgrimage.

Located three kilometers from central Medina, the mosque maintains separate prayer sections for men and women, accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers at once.

The mosque currently undergoes its largest expansion project, set to increase capacity to 66,000 people while preserving 57 historical sites nearby.
