Bjärka-Säby Castle, Baroque castle in Linköping Municipality, Sweden.
Bjärka-Säby Castle is a baroque residence in Linköping Municipality featuring symmetrical facades and detailed decorative elements throughout its exterior. The building blends baroque and neoclassical styles, creating a distinctive appearance across its walls and architectural details.
The residence was designed by architect Fredrik Magnus Piper and built between 1797 and 1799 for landowner Germund Ludvig Cederhielm. This period of construction established its baroque and neoclassical character, which has remained largely unchanged since then.
The castle houses a collection of paintings showing important people from local history and Orthodox icons that reflect spiritual traditions. These artworks give visitors insight into the values and connections that shaped the estate.
The grounds are open to visitors during summer months with guided tours available and concerts held in the Rotunda building. A café on the western side offers refreshments, and visitors can explore the surrounding parkland at their own pace.
The property features an 18-hole disc golf course winding through both flat and hilly areas around the castle grounds. This recreational space blends a modern sport with the historic parkland that surrounds the estate.
