Carl Eldhs Ateljémuseum, Art museum and sculptor's studio in Bellevueparken, Stockholm, Sweden.
Carl Eldhs Ateljémuseum is an artist's studio and museum in Bellevueparken, Stockholm, containing over 1000 plaster models and sketches. The rooms are filled with original sculptures and the tools the artist used during his creative work.
Swedish sculptor Carl Johan Eldh established this studio in 1919, designed by architect Ragnar Östberg as a workspace for monumental sculptures. The building was created during a period when large public monuments were being commissioned in Stockholm.
The place is named after the sculptor whose studio it preserves in its working state. Visitors see the workshop exactly as it was used during the artist's creative process, with tools and materials scattered throughout the rooms.
The museum is located in a park and can be reached at Lögebodavägen 10, where group reservations are available year-round. During summer months, regular guided tours help visitors understand the artworks and the artist's working methods.
Brita Eldh, the sculptor's daughter, managed this museum independently until 2024 and preserved the original studio environment. Her careful work made it possible to show her father's artistic process exactly as it actually happened.
