The villa was constructed between 1925 and 1927 for historian Carl Grimberg, following architectural designs by Carl-Otto Hallström in Nordic classicism style.
The building bears architectural similarities to Gunnar Asplund's Villa Snellman from 1917-1918, as noted by Stockholm County Museum.
The structure underwent extensive renovation to restore its single-family residence status after being converted into multi-unit housing during the 1980s.
Located in the Old Djursholm quarter, the villa stands among notable residences from the 1890s to 1960s, representing various architectural periods.
