Lake Jasna, Alpine lake in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
Lake Jasna consists of two connected artificial water bodies formed at the confluence of Velika Pišnica and Mala Pišnica streams near the Julian Alps. The lake sits surrounded by gentle mountain slopes and offers views toward the peaks of Razor and Prisank.
The lake emerged from artificial modifications of natural water streams to create recreational spaces for local residents and travelers crossing the nearby mountain pass. This transformation was part of infrastructure development in the alpine region.
A bronze ibex statue stands on natural rock formations at the lake, serving as the main symbol of this mountain water feature. The sculpture draws visitors who explore the surroundings and connect with the local landscape.
Access to the lake works through wooden piers, a viewing platform, and stone paths that circle the water. Walking around offers the best way to explore, with mostly level ground that is easy to traverse in sturdy shoes.
The lakeside features a Kneipp path where visitors walk on stones under cold mountain water for a natural foot treatment. This traditional wellness practice is uncommon in most alpine locations today.
