The mountain area contained small lakes called modra očesca, which served as grazing pastures for sheep tended by shepherds from Vršič until 2016.

The round trip hike from Vršič Pass takes between three to four hours, covering 350 meters of elevation gain on marked paths.
The summit provides panoramic views of surrounding peaks, including direct sightlines to Jalovec mountain and the Mojstrovka mountain group.
