Preddvor Mansion

Preddvor Mansion is a building in the valley of Preddvor and dominates the local architecture with its traditional Slovenian structural elements. Its layout features characteristic rooms and details typical of noble residences in this region.

The mansion first appeared in records from 1147 under the name Niwenhouen, when it was owned by Viktring Abbey. A few centuries later it came under the control of Stična Abbey, which marked a shift in how the property was managed and used.
