Domica Cave, Cave entrance in Slovak Karst National Park, Slovakia

The Domica Cave system extends over 5,368 meters through limestone passages, featuring oval corridors that expand into large underground chambers with numerous formations.

Archaeological excavations in the 1930s revealed evidence of human habitation from the Early Stone Age, including tools, pottery, and post holes.

The underground shrine called the Dome of Mysteries served as a ceremonial space for Neolithic inhabitants who created drawings on the cave walls.

Between February and May, and September to December, visitors can explore the cave from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

The cave connects with Hungary's Baradla Cave, forming a 25-kilometer cross-border underground network with one-quarter located in Slovakia.
