Bosmany

Bosmany is a natural monument in the Súlov Mountains featuring three distinct limestone towers that rise above the village of Kostolec. These rock formations stand side by side and create a striking geological feature within the forested landscape of the area.

The site received official protection status in 1994 as part of Slovakia's effort to safeguard important geological formations in the country. This designation acknowledged the scientific and natural value of these limestone cliffs.

The limestone formations of this site have long shaped how locals perceive their natural surroundings and identify with the regional landscape. The three rock towers serve as a visual landmark that residents have referenced for generations.

Access to the site is gained through a forest trail that climbs toward the ridge, requiring moderate hiking effort to reach the formations. The path provides good visibility of surrounding mountains and does not require special equipment or climbing skills.

The three rock towers host specialized plant communities adapted to the harsh limestone conditions found on their steep faces. These plants are uncommon and demonstrate how diverse ecosystems can flourish in limited rocky spaces.
